Green Bay head coaches Brian Wardle and Matt Bollant will both hold press conferences Tuesday afternoon at the Kress Events Center as part of the annual basketball media day. The press conferences, which will begin at 4 p.m. ET, can be watched live by clicking on the embedded player below.
Among other topics, Wardle will discuss his team’s challenging schedule, the six newcomers he has added to the roster, and the state of the Horizon League. The 33-year old is entering his second season as the head coach of the men’s basketball program. Green Bay begins practice on Friday, exactly three weeks before hosting Lawrence for an exhibition game on Nov. 4 at the Kress Center.
Bollant, entering his fifth season at the helm of the women’s program, will talk about how the first week of practice went for his Phoenix team and his thoughts on a challenging 2011-12 schedule. Green Bay is coming off a 2010-11 season in which it won a school-record 34 games and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
