Leading up to Motor City Madness, the Horizon League will provide weekly leads as to What’s Happening in Detroit (WHID).  The 2017 Little Caesars Basketball Championships will take place at Joe Louis Arena in the heart of Detroit, Mich.

Tickets start at $15 per day and can be purchased by visiting www.Motorcitymadness.HorizonLeague.com/tickets or by calling the Joe Louis Arena Box at 313-471-7575.

This week the focus is on dining. While you are in town March 3-7, make plans to visit these areas.

Corktown:
The magazine recommends a number of restaurants in Detroit's oldest neighborbood as the "best neighborhood for a food frenzy," including Brooklyn Street Local, Dime Store, Slow's Bar BQ and a "newish and trendy Southeast Asian spot," Katoi. See what else it had to say about Corktown here.

Greektown, Hamtramck & Dearborn:
National Geographic also lists some of the "best neighborhoods for ethnic eats," naming Greektown's New Parthenon as "a staple." It also mentioned Hamtramck's Polish Village Cafe and Krakus. In Dearborn, it gives a shout-out to Al Ameer. See what it had to say about all of these places here.

Midtown:
The magazine lists Midtown Detroit as the "best neighborhood for a night out." It gives props to Grey Ghost, La Feria and Selden Standard. Here's what the magazine had to say about those.
