DES MOINES, Iowa - Green Bay (26-6) fell to Drake (23-10) 65-56 on the road in the first round of the WNIT. The loss to the Bulldogs marks the first time this year that the Phoenix has lost back-to-back games.

Green Bay held a 45-36 lead eight minutes into the second half, but Drake would go on a 29-11 run in final 12 minutes to secure the win and advance to the second round of the WNIT tournament.

The Bulldogs will head to Champaign, Ill., to face off against Illinois on Monday.

Junior center Lavesa Glover led the Phoenix in scoring as she tallied a game-high 23 points on 10-of-21 shooting. The Green Bay center tallied 19 points in the second half alone. In addition, Glover pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.

Glover's 23 point output marked the fourth game this year where she tallied 20 points or more. Glover was the only Green Bay player that reached double-figures in scoring.

Drake senior guard Lindsay Whorton paced the Bulldogs with 18 points.

As a team, the Phoenix shot 42.6 percent from the field for the game, but struggled from beyond the arc as it went 1-of-7 from three-point range. Green Bay was also outrebounded 49-30.

The Phoenix also outshot Drake (44.4 - 37.9 percent) in the second half, but went 0-for-3 from three-point range.

Green Bay trailed by as many as nine points in the first half, but the Phoenix closed out the opening frame with a 12-2 run to take a 29-28 lead into the locker room.

In the first half, the Phoenix outshot the Bulldogs from the field (40.7 - 31.4 percent). Porath led the team with seven points on 3-of-4 shooting from the field.
