  • Senior Susan Lester surpassed 1,000 points for her career on Sunday at Kentucky.


  • Freshman Claire Freeman played 14 minutes in her collegiate debut on Sunday. Claire's older sister, Cassie, played for Butler from 2004-08.

    CLEVELAND STATE VIKINGS (1-1 overall, 0-0 HL)



  • Cleveland State held Ohio to 34 points on Friday, which was the lowest total for a CSU opponent since Ashland managed just 24 on Feb. 8, 1983.


  • CSU's victory on Friday marked its first season-opening win since 1998-99.

    DETROIT TITANS (1-1 overall, 0-0 HL)



  • Detroit shot 61 percent (14-of-23) in its season-opening win over Oakland on Friday.


  • Sophomore Yar Shayok registered UDM's first double-double of the campaign on Friday. She recorded 26 points, 14 rebounds and knocked down 11-of-15 from the floor.

    GREEN BAY PHOENIX (2-0 overall, 0-0 HL)



  • Green Bay snapped North Dakota's 19-game winning streak in home openers with its 74-56 decision on Friday.


  • Green Bay has opened the past 23 seasons on the road. The Phoenix added a 53-40 victory over South Dakota on Sunday to finish its first weekend 2-0.

    LOYOLA RAMBLERS (1-0 overall, 0-0 HL)



  • Eric Simpson notched his first win as a head coach with the 69-64 decision over St. Xavier (Ill.) on Sunday.


  • Freshman Monica Albano posted 13 points and seven rebounds off the bench in her collegiate debut.

    MILWAUKEE PANTHERS (2-0 overall, 0-0 HL)



  • Milwaukee is off to a 2-0 start for first time since 2001-02. This is also the first time in school history that UWM has won back-to-back "true" road games to start a season.


  • Milwaukee had five players average double figures during its first weekend of regular-season action. Senior Jodie McClain, who nailed 13-of-15 from the free-throw line, led the attack with 15.0 points per outing.

  • Senior Jessie Miller moved into 11th place on UIC's all-time scoring list with 12 points against Eastern Michigan on Friday.

    VALPARAISO CRUSADERS (1-0 overall, 0-0 HL)



  • Senior Sylwia Zabielewicz collected a career-high 10 rebounds on Saturday against Indiana Tech, while junior Ashley Varner tied her career high with nine boards.


  • Sophomore Betsy Adams posted career bests for points (20), steals (6) and three-point field goals made (6) on Saturday.


  • Freshman Skyler Gick scored 16 points in her collegiate debut on Saturday.

    WRIGHT STATE RAIDERS (0-1 overall, 0-0 HL)



  • Junior LaShawna Thomas netted 22 points on Saturday at IPFW.


  • Senior Erica Richardson poured in a career-high 17 points on Saturday.


  • Wright State will play its next four games at home before hitting the road for eight straight. The eight-game road trip will be the longest in school history.

    YOUNGSTOWN STATE PENGUINS (0-2 overall, 0-0 HL)



  • In just the second game of her collegiate career on Saturday, freshman Brandi Brown recorded 14 points and 11 rebounds against High Point.


  • Youngstown State is averaging just 14.5 turnovers through two games in 2009, down from 20.8 a season ago.


  • Junior Bojana Dimitrov scored 21 points in the first game of her YSU career. No Penguin guard score more than 20 points in a game last season.
