Butler Bulldogs (8-9; 4-3)
LAST WEEK: The Bulldogs split a pair of contests last week. On Wednesday night, Butler hosted Loyola and posted an 85-72 victory. The Bulldogs then gave UW-Green Bay all it could handle in a 56-51 loss on Sunday.

POURING IN THE POINTS: Butler scored a season-high 85 points in its win over Loyola. The Bulldogs also committed a season-low 10 turnovers against in the contest, helping Butler to a 22-6 advantage in points off turnovers.

COUTURE'S WINS START TO PILE UP: Butler Head Coach Beth Couture picked up the 300th win of her career Wednesday against Loyola. Her overall record now stands at 300-178, while the Bulldogs are 8-9 this season.

GIVING NUMBER ONE A RUN: The Bulldogs held first-place UW-Green Bay to 56 points Sunday, just one point more than the season-low for a Butler opponent and 16 below UWGB's average.

Cleveland State Vikings (3-14; 1-5)
LAST WEEK: Cleveland State dropped its only game of the week when the Vikings traveled to Youngstown State and were pinned with a 68-56 loss on Thursday.

MARTIN HANDING OUT ASSISTS: Senior Erin Martin has averaged 5.5 assists per game in conference play this season. Her high-water mark came against Youngstown State on Thursday night when she dished out eight assists with only two turnovers.

375 AND COUNTING: Cleveland State heads into this week having made a three-point field goal in 375 consecutive contests the longest active run in the nation and the second-longest streak ever. Louisville (394 games) ranks first all-time in NCAA annals, although the Cardinals had their streak come to an end during the 2004-05 campaign. The last time the Vikings failed to drain at least one three-pointer in a game was in a 78-55 loss at Cincinnati on Dec. 17, 1992.

Detroit Titans (8-10; 5-2)
LAST WEEK: Detroit extended its winning streak to five games with two victories last week. The Titans topped Wright State 68-59 on Monday night and followed that performance with a 69-62 victory over Youngstown State.

TITANS KEEP ON WINNING: The five-game winning streak is the longest for Detroit in two seasons. Detroit won six straight from Feb. 14, 2004 through Mar. 7, 2004. You have to go back to 1996-97 season and an 11-game stretch to find a longer winning-streak.

1,000-POINT CLUB: With senior Lindsey Pasquinzo tallying her 1,000 point last week, attention now shifts to senior Katie Solner's run for 1,000. With 25 points on Saturday, she is now 69 points away from becoming 16th Titan all-time to reach that mark.

POINTS FROM EVERYONE: The team is becoming very balanced scoring-wise with multiple threats. While Lindsey Pasquinzo leads team with a 13.1 average and is only player averaging double digits, the next five top-scorers (Caite Goddard, Shawanna Stubblefield, Joanna Cooper, Katie Solner and Kelly Jaskot) all average between 9.1 and 8.3 points per game.

UIC Flames (7-10; 3-3)
LAST WEEK: UIC struggled on the Wisconsin road trip last week, losing to both UW-Green Bay and UW-Milwaukee. The Flames dropped a 77-58 to the first-place Phoenix on Thursday before getting topped by a single point, 55-54, by the Panthers on Saturday afternoon.

DIZON LEADING THE WAY: Senior guard Chrissy Dizon is the only Horizon League player to lead her team in scoring (12.6), rebounding (5.5) and assists per game (4.9). On Jan. 14, Dizon topped the 1,000-point mark in her career and moved into tenth-place on UIC's all-time scoring list. She is currently 44 points from moving into eighth as Jacquese Gilbert (1988-91) and Toni Stachon (1975-78) are tied on the all-time list.

CUTTING IT CLOSE: Despite closing a 12-point deficit in the last four minutes versus UW-Milwaukee on the road, UIC was edged by the Panthers 55-54. Junior Krystal Hugelier hit a three-pointer with less than 15 seconds on the clock to get the Flames within one point, but UIC was unable to get a last shot off after UWM missed from the line.

Loyola Ramblers (2-16; 2-5)
LAST WEEK: Loyola split a pair of contests last week. On Wednesday, the Ramblers went to Hinkle Fieldhouse and took a 85-72 loss to Butler. Loyola then welcomed Wright State to the Gentile Center and posted its second League win, 85-77, in overtime.

HANSER KEEPS ON SCORING: Junior guard Marquise Hanser held her spot atop the League's scoring charts with 34 points in two games last week. Hanser is now averaging 17.9 points per game and has scored 20 or more eight times this season.

PICKING UP THE PACE: After averaging 54.3 points per game during non-conference play, Loyola is averaging 68.3 points per game in seven Horizon League match-ups and has three players, led by Hanser's 18.1 points per contest, averaging double figures in League play.

UW-Green Bay Phoenix (14-3; 7-0)
LAST WEEK: UW-Green Bay continued its hot play extending its unbeaten streak to nine games. The Phoenix started the week with a 77-58 victory over UIC on Thursday and finished the week with a 56-51 victory over Butler on Sunday in a game televised by ESPNU.

WINNING FOR MANY, MANY YEARS: In the Monday, Jan. 23 edition of USA Today, UW-Green Bay was recognized for having the third-longest streak of winning seasons in women's college basketball. Behind only Tennessee (34) and Louisiana Tech (31), the Phoenix have been over .500 for the past 28 seasons and, with a win this week, the Phoenix will secure its 29th-straight.

THEY JUST KEEP WINNING: UW-Green Bay's nine-game win streak is tied for seventh-longest in the country. It also ranks 12th in team history. Last year's 16-game run is the team's longest at the Division I level.

PHOENIX DOING IT ON BOTH OFFENSE AND DEFENSE: UW-Green Bay leads the Horizon League in scoring offense (71.2), scoring margin (+7.9) and field-goal percentage (.451). The Phoenix also holds the top marks in the League in scoring defense (63.3) and field-goal defense (.418).

UW-Milwaukee Panthers (10-7; 5-1)
LAST WEEK: UW-Milwaukee extended its winning streak to five games with two victories last week. The Panthers notched an 81-73 win over Big Ten rep Northwestern on Wednesday before barely slipping past UIC, 55-54, Saturday afternoon at the Klostche Center.

SHOOTING THE LIGHTS OUT: Milwaukee shot 66.7 percent (20-of-30) in the second half against Northwestern last week on its way to 55 points in the final 20 minutes. The shooting percentage is the team's best since posting the same percentage (18-of-27) Feb. 27, 2003 against Wright State, while the point total is tied for the second-most in a half in school history. Combined with their first-half efforts, UWM finished the game shooting 55.6 percent, its best showing since that same WSU contest.

PANTHERS PLAYING THE `D': UWM allowed UIC to shoot just 34.3 percent Saturday, the lowest it allowed this season, topping the 34.9 percent shot by Detroit Dec. 29. The Panthers held the Flames without a field goal for a five-minute stretch in the first half and for nearly a six-minute span in the second half.

Wright State Raiders (6-11; 2-5)
LAST WEEK: Wright State dropped a pair of League games last week. The Raiders started the week with a 68-59 loss to a hot Detroit squad on Monday, then wrapped up with a 85-77 overtime loss to Loyola on Saturday.

MAYS FINDS HER WAY TO THE BUCKET: Senior Rhea Mays has been the model of consistency the last two months as she has averaged a team-best 13.2 points per game since the start of December compared to 7.8 per outing over the first five games. Over the 12 games since Dec. 1, she has scored in double figures all but once.

A NIGHT FOR CAREER-HIGHS: Two Raiders recorded career-highs at Loyola as senior Tyanda Hammock tied for the team lead in scoring with 19 points while junior Steph Comisar, in her first start of the season, had 11. Brittney Whiteside tied a season-high with 19 points as she also had 19 earlier in the week at Detroit. All five WSU starters scored in double figures.

For the week, she averaged 16.5 points per game while shooting 52.4 percent (11-of-21) from the floor and 53.3 percent (8-of-15) from behind the three-point line.

FINDING THE TOUCH: YSU's 54.8 (23-of-42) field-goal percentage against Detroit was a season-best. Sophomore Jessica Schloemp's 6-of-9 performance led the way for the Penguins.
