HORIZON LEAGUE TEAM NOTES

BUTLER BULLDOGS (2-3 overall, 0-0 HL)

Senior Susan Lester was named to the Cancun Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament Team. She averaged 11.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in two games.

Senior Melanie Thornton scored 14 points in her season debut on Friday against Syracuse. She added 10 points and seven boards the next night vs. Northern Iowa.

Junior Brittany Bowen is shooting .585 from the floor, the second highest mark in the Horizon League and first among guards.

CLEVELAND STATE VIKINGS (2-3 overall, 0-0 HL)

Senior Jessica Roque's seven three pointers on Friday against Iona tied the Cleveland State single-game record.

Sophomore Destinee Blue set career highs in points (11) and rebounds (9) vs. Iona.

Sophomore Janelle Adams added a career-high nine boards against the Gaels.

CSU's two games at the Caribbean Challenge in Cancun were the first games played out of the country in program history.

DETROIT TITANS (1-3 overall, 0-0 HL)

Senior Brigid Mulroy led Detroit with 20 points on Tuesday against Canisius. She knocked down 4-of-7 from beyond the arc.

Brigid Mulroy and sophomore Jalesa Jones played all 40 minutes vs. the Griffs.

Through four games, Brigid Mulroy leads the Horizon League in scoring (18.5) and three-point shooting (.700, 14-for-20).

GREEN BAY PHOENIX (5-0 overall, 0-0 HL)

Green Bay received eight votes in the most-recent Associated Press poll.

Green Bay led from start to finish on Tuesday in a 60-58 upset of Wisconsin at the Kohl Center in Madison.

UWGB is the first NCAA Division I team to win four "true" road games this season.

Green Bay is currently leading the Horizon League in scoring defense (52.0). In 2008-09, the Phoenix led the entire nation in that category (50.8).

Green Bay also paces the conference in scoring margin (16.4), free-throw percentage (.798), assists per game (17.8) and turnover margin (5.8).

LOYOLA RAMBLERS (4-1 overall, 0-0 HL)

Loyola is off to its best five-game start since the 2001-02 season.

Loyola's 12 three-pointers made last Monday against SIU-Edwardsville were one shy of the school's single-game record.

Senior Keisha Collins averaged 12.5 points and 3.5 assists in two wins last week.

MILWAUKEE PANTHERS (4-2 overall, 0-0 HL)

Milwaukee is off to its best six-game start as a Division I program.

Junior Lindsay Laur posted double-doubles in both games at the Seattle University Thanksgiving Tournament.

Milwaukee led from start to finish in back-to-back games against Northern Illinois and South Alabama last week.

UWM has hit 70 points in all four wins this season and 50 percent shooting in three of the four.

UIC FLAMES (1-5 overall, 0-0 HL)

UIC posted a 60-37 advantage in rebounds and 42-8 edge in paint points on Wednesday against Niagara.

Senior Jessie Miller moved into 10th place on UIC's all-time scoring list vs. Niagara. She now has 1,137 points.

Senior Cassie Johnson moved into fourth place on UIC's all-time blocked shots list against the Purple Eagles. She now has 123 rejections.

Three Flames recorded double-doubles in the win. Jessie Miller led the way with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Cassie Johnson collected 13 points and a career-high 14 rebounds, while sophomore Jasmine Bailey added 13 points and a career-high 15 boards.

VALPARAISO CRUSADERS (3-1 overall, 0-0 HL)

Valparaiso has tied the 1974-75 team for the best four-game start in school history.

Senior Lauren Kenney and sophomore Betsy Adams have both tallied double-figure points in all four games this season.

The Crusaders host Central Michigan on Saturday and are then on the road until Horizon League action begins Jan. 2.

WRIGHT STATE RAIDERS (3-1 overall, 0-0 HL)

Sophomore Molly Fox, junior Ta-myra Davis and senior Kanisha Ward tallied 11 points each on Wednesday against Robert Morris (Pa.).

Kanisha Ward has committed only one foul in 136 minutes this season (34.0 mpg).

With just eight players, Wright State has averaged 39.5 points in the second half of its four games this season. The Raiders are shooting 44 percent and averaging just six turnovers after intermission.

YOUNGSTOWN STATE PENGUINS (0-6 overall, 0-0 HL)

Freshman Brandi Brown and junior Bojana Dimitrov combined for 46 points and 22 rebounds on Friday against Louisiana-Monroe. Brown recorded 13 points and 11 rebounds before halftime, while Dimitrov scored 18 after the break.

Bojana Dimitrov was named to the second All-Tournament Team this month when she was recognized as one of the top players at the UTEP Thanksgiving Classic. She scored a game-high 27 points on 10-for-17 shooting against ULM.

In 2009-10, sophomore Macey Nortey owns 31 assists in six games for an average of 5.2. Last season, she had just 80 assists in 30 contests for an average of 2.7.
