Brittney Whiteside, Wright State
Junior * Guard * Columbus, Ohio
Whiteside had two solid performances last week, averaging 15.5 points and six rebounds in Wright State's two contests. In Tuesday's loss to Marshall, the five-foot-eight guard notched 15 points, five rebounds and two assists. She followed that by dropping in 16 points with seven rebounds in Saturday's last-second win over Ball State.

Krystal Hugelier, UIC
Junior * Guard * Elmhurst, Ill.
Hugelier tallied 18 points, seven rebounds and one steal in UIC's 80-62 win over Chicago State on Dec. 14. The junior shot 50 percent from the field, 66.7 percent from three-point land and 100 percent from the line.

Kristy Gaudiose, Youngstown State
Junior * Guard * Poland, Ohio
Gaudiose led the Penguins with 14 points against Indiana State on Saturday. She connected on four-of-11 from the floor with two three-pointers. For the season, Gaudiose is averaging 8.1 points per game and 3.4 rebounds.

Meredith Onson, UW-Milwaukee
Sophomore * Guard * Oshkosh, Wis.
Onson scored 10 points in each of the Panthers' two games last week, dishing out 4.5 assists per game and shooting 50 percent from the field. She also shot 50 percent on threes and hit all four free throws. The five-foot-eleven guard grabbed two rebounds and played 31 minutes in each game.

Natalie Berglin, UW-Green Bay
Junior * Guard * Green Bay, Wis.
Berglin scored a team-high 16 points on six-of-seven shooting (three-of-three from three-point range), while notching a team-best five assists in UW-Green Bay's 103-53 win over Lewis Saturday. Fifteen of Berglin's 16 points came in the first half, as the junior guard had just one turnover in 22 minutes.

Marquise Hanser, Loyola
Junior * Guard * Ft. Mitchell, Ky.
Hanser scored a team-high 16 points in the Ramblers' only game last week. The five-foot-nine guard tallied two rebounds and an assist, while holding on to the lead in the League's scoring race at 19.0 points per game.

Katie Solner, Detroit
Senior * Guard * Birmingham, Mich.
Solner tied a career high with nine assists against Jackson State. She was the only Titan to register double-figure points in both of the team's contests, scoring 14 points against Texas A&M. 10 points against Jackson State.

Horizon League News and Notes
ON TAP: In the final week before conference play begins, the Horizon League women's teams have 10 games scheduled before they break for the holidays. Four games are slated for Monday with UIC's contest at the Fun in the Sun Shootout in doubt due to poor floor conditions. Tuesday's two-game ledger is highlighted by Loyola hosting nationally ranked DePaul. After a single game on Wednesday, the loop wraps up with three contests on Thursday.

HITTING THE TARGET: UW-Green Bay put together one of its best offensive outputs in team history, as the squad shot 65.5 percent from the field and 70.6 percent from three-point range on the way to its 103-point output against Lewis Dec. 17. The team's shooting efforts came up among the best in the NCAA this season. The 65.5 percent clip from the floor ranks second in the NCAA this season, while the 70.6 mark from behind the arc is the highest three-point percentage in the NCAA this season. Leading the charge for the Phoenix was junior forward Nicole Soulis (eight-of-12) and junior guard Natalie Berglin (six-of-seven).

HANSER LIKES DOUBLE FIGURES: Loyola's junior guard Marquise Hanser has posted double-digit points in all nine of the team's games this season. She has registered four games of 20 or more points, with the last coming Dec. 10 against Indiana State. The Ft. Mitchell, Ky., native leads the League in scoring, averaging 19.0 points per game.

Butler Bulldogs (2-5; 0-0)
CLOSSER CATCHING FIRE: Behind four three-pointers, junior guard Jackie Closser scored a career-high 22 points against Ball State in the team's last outing. Closser went 6-of-10 from the field and 6-of-7 from the free-throw line. She is averaging 19.0 points per game over her last four contests.

FREE POINTS: Butler continued its hot shooting at the charity stripe with an 80 percent mark against Ball State. Butler has shot at least 70 percent in its last five contests, raising its season average to 71 percent. Freshman guard Candace Jones leads the Horizon League at 93.8 percent, while Jackie Closser (.923, second) and junior guard Ellen Hamilton (.864, fifth) also appear in the top five among conference players.

Cleveland State Vikings (2-6; 0-0)
BACK IN ACTION: Cleveland State takes to the court for the first time in over a week after breaking for final exams. The Vikings will travel to West Virginia on Monday (Dec. 19) in the first meeting between the schools since the 1985-86 season. CSU then returns home on Thursday (Dec. 22) to host Ohio.

366 AND COUNTING: Cleveland State extended its three-point field-goal streak to 366 consecutive games with eight treys in the Vikings Dec. 11 matchup with Western Michigan. The last time the Vikings failed to drain at least one triple was against Cincinnati on Dec. 17, 1992. The streak is the third-best in NCAA history and the longest active run.

Detroit Titans (3-8; 0-0)
65 TO GO: With 25 points in last week's two contests, senior guard Lindsey Pasquinzo has 935 points for her career. Pasquinzo needs 65 more points to become the 15th Titan with 1,000 career points.

DIALING IT UP FROM LONG DISTANCE: After a season-high 12 three pointers made against Jackson State, Detroit has more than doubled its opponents in made three-pointers, 89-44. Pasquinzo led the Titans with four treys, freshman guard Zemora Davis knocked down three, while senior guards Catie Goddard and Kelly Jaskot tallied two triples apiece.

UIC Flames (3-6; 0-0)
SCORING TRIPLE-THREAT: UIC is the only team in the League to have three players averaging more than 13 points per contest. Senior guard Chrissy Dizon and junior guard Krystal Hugelier tie for the team lead with 13.3 points per game, while junior guard LaShonda Grant is just behind with a 13.1 average.

FLAMES STAND AT THE TOP OF THE LEAGUE: The Flames rank first in the league in assists (148), steals (112) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.1). If the Fun In The Sun Shootout is cancelled, UIC takes a break until the Flames kick-off Horizon League action December 31st versus UW-Green Bay at 11:30 a.m. at the Pavilion.

Loyola Ramblers (0-9; 0-0)
HITTING THE GLASS: Through Sunday's games, Loyola is the only team in the Horizon League with a positive rebounding margin. In nine contests, the Ramblers have pulled down 319 boards to their opponents 297. Junior guard Marquise Hanser, senior forward Danielle Lonie and freshman forward Jana Lucas tie for the team lead with 5.3 rebounds per contest.

MENELLA HELPING THE RAMBLERS: Senior guard Mandy Menella continued her success since coming off knee surgery with another strong performance last week. She scored 10 points against Valparaiso and has tallied double-figures in the team's last three games.

UW-Green Bay Phoenix (6-3; 0-0)
RECORD-SETTING PERFORMANCE: The Phoenix put together one of its best offensive outputs in team history, as the squad shot 65.5 percent from the field and 70.6 percent from three-point range on the way to its 103-point output against Lewis Dec. 17. The 103 points the Phoenix posted was the most since a 112-point effort against Cleveland State during the 1991-92 season and just the fifth time in program history UW-Green Bay reached the century mark. As for the team's shooting efforts, the 65.5 percent clip ranks third in team history and second in the NCAA this season, while 70.6 percent is second-best in Phoenix records and the highest three-point percentage in the NCAA this season.

UW-Milwaukee Panthers (4-6; 0-0)
FRESHMEN PACING THE PANTHERS: Freshman guard Emily Markert had a career-high 15 points Sunday and was the third freshman to lead the team in scoring this season. A freshman has led or shared team-high honors in nine of 10 games this season.

O'BRIEN FINDING SUCCESS: Senior forward Molly O'Brien posted a double-double Sunday, her second, and UWM's sixth, of the season. The Panthers have had one in each of their last three games, their second three-game streak of double-double performances this season.

Wright State Raiders (4-5; 0-0)
NOTHING LIKE THE FIRST TIME: Sophomore forward Sierra Crayton made her first collegiate three-point attempt a memorable one as she banked in a 30-footer as time expired to give the Raiders a 77-74 win over Ball State Saturday at the Nutter Center.

WELL-ROUNDED ATTACK: All nine players on the active roster scored in both games last week as the Raiders received a combined 41 points off the bench, including 31 against Ball State with Tyanda Hammock's 12 leading the way.

Youngstown State Penguins (2-7; 0-0)
FINDING THE RANGE: Junior guard Kristy Gaudiose led the Penguins with 14 points against Indiana State on Saturday. The 5-foot-7 guard connected on 4-of-11 from the floor with two 3-pointers. She also converted on 4-of-4 from the free throw line, grabbed four rebounds with two assists and a steal.

ROSCOE GETTING COMFORTABLE: Freshman guard Toni Roscoe scored a career-high 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the floor against the Sycamores on Saturday. Roscoe is averaging 4.4 points and has made the second most triples on the team (10).
