Player of the Week
Elizabeth Chudy, UW-Milwaukee, Junior, Midfielder, Milwaukee, Wis.
Chudy scored the game-winning goal in the 99th minute of Sunday's match against Detroit. The goal earned the Panthers their fifth-straight regular season league championship, as well as the top seed in the league tournament.

Kristin Harnest, Butler, Sophomore, Midfielder/Forward, Middleburg Heights, Ohio
Harnest had a hat trick in Sunday's 6-0 win over Cleveland State. The Middleburg Heights, Ohio product scored the first two goals of the match and then finished off the trifecta with a tally two minutes into the second half. Harnest registered five shots in the match, Butler's only action of the week. On the year, Harnest now has a team-leading five goals.
Allison Epple, Detroit, Junior, Defender, Troy, Mich.
Epple scored the game-winning goal in Detroit's 1-0 win at Green Bay Friday night. It was her first goal of the season after coming back from injury in the third game of the season.
Kim Chianese, Wright State, Junior, Forward, Worthington, Ohio
Chianese was the main catalyst in Wright State's undefeated week, scoring both Raider goals. Against Ball State, Chianese secured a tie for WSU when she scored from 20-yards out. Two days later, she netted the game-winning goal with 1:09 left to play, to clinch the 1-0 double-overtimevictory over IPFW. The two goals this week make three on the season which places her second on the team in goals and points.
Notes and Quotes
Butler Bulldogs (6-8-2, 4-3-0)
Butler's match against Cleveland State (Oct. 24) served as the team's Senior Day, even though the team will host IUPUI Tuesday in a match re-scheduled from Kuntz Stadium last week.
The Bulldogs will host the 2004 Horizon League Championship, Nov. 4-7. With Sunday's win, Butler clinched the third seed in the tournament.
Senior Kristen Aaltonen scored her first collegiate goal in the second half of Butler's win Sunday, celebrating her Senior Day. Classmate Deirdre Connor had an assist and senior goalie Katie Sanders picked up the win.
Twelve of the Bulldogs' 16 matches this season have ended either in a tie or in a one-goal decision. Butler has won the remaining four matches by a combined score of 13-0.
Butler's six goals (Oct. 24 vs. Cleveland State) were the most scored by the Bulldogs since a 7-0 victory over Youngstown State in 2002.
Marcie Stucky re-entered the Cleveland State match (Oct. 24) in the second half, subbing in for sophomore defender Julie Backscheider. It was the first time that Backscheider had been off the field this season. Backscheider had seen 1,487 consecutive minutes of action this season.
Cleveland State Vikings (0-17, 0-5)
Sunday's regular season finale against Loyola will serve as the final home contest in the playing careers of seniors Katie Burke, Jessica Larsen and Ivana Milovic, and the trio will be honored in a pre-match ceremony. All three players have been with the program for two years, making the team last year as walkons and taking part in practices during the year. Burke and Larsen have served as co-captains this year, combining to start 22 matches while Milovic has played in seven matches as a reserve.
The first round opponent for the upcoming Horizon League Tournament became much clearer over the weekend. CSU, which sits in eighth place with an 0-5 mark, will most likely face UW-Milwaukee, which knocked off Detroit, 2-1, on Oct. 24 to claim the regular season title. CSU will need to get at least a win and a tie in the two matches this week to claim the No. 7 seed and face Detroit, the No. 2 seed. CSU lost to both teams in the regular season, 1-0 at home against UW-Milwaukee and 13-0 at Detroit.
Detroit Titans (10-5-1, 6-1-0)
The Titans head to the west coast to battle regional powers Loyola Marymount and Pepperdine to prep for the upcoming league tournament.
Senior Mandi Jasky added to her league leading assist total with a pair this weekend. She got an assist on the game-winning goal at Green Bay and the lone assist on the Titans' goal against UWM.
Loyola Ramblers (6-7-3, 2-3-1)
Loyola hosts IPFW on Oct. 27 and will wrap up Horizon League play as it travels to Cleveland State (Oct. 31).
UW-Green Bay Phoenix (3-10-3, 1-3-2)
UW-Green Bay will look to end its four-game home losing streak Oct. 29 when the Phoenix hosts Cleveland State in its Horizon League and regular season finale. The Phoenix has had success in its final home game of the season, which is also Senior Day, as UW-Green Bay owns a 14-2-0 all-time record in its final home contest of the year.
Senior defender Ashley Hammen, who was out for eight games with a knee injury, made her first game appearance since Sept. 24 against Wisconsin Oct. 24.
With its tie against Loyola Oct. 19, UW-Green Bay set a new team record with three draws in a season. Seven times previous the Phoenix registered two ties in a season.
UW-Milwaukee Panthers (9-7-2, 7-0-0)
With a win on Oct. 25, the Panthers clinched their fifth-straight Horizon League Regular Season Championship, as well as the top seed in the league tournament. This season was also UWM's third perfect league season in five years.
The 2004 Milwaukee senior class of Kerri St. Aubin, Melissa Ricter, Brenda Andrews and Sara Lewis finished their Horizon League careers with a 23-1-1 record in league games and league championships in each of their four seasons. St. Aubin redshirted the 2002 season, but was in goal when the Panthers went 5-0 in 2000.
Wright State Raiders (8-7-2, 3-3-1)
The Raiders ended the week with a 1-0-1 record after tying Ball State 1-1 and defeating IPFW on a last minute goal. Both Wright State games went into two overtimes, with goalie Steph Comisar playing all 218:51 and making nine saves on the weekend.
Youngstown State Penguins (1-15-1, 1-6-0)
Despite a disappointing season, the Penguins still found a way to make it into the record books. Sophomore Katie Duracky finished the season with 54 shots, three goals and two assists for eight points. The 54 shots moved Duracky into third place in the YSU record book for most shots in a season. Duracky also tied the school record for most shots in a game with 12 on Oct. 17
Senior Kim Jugenheimer moved into third place in the YSU record book for career assists with eight. She also now holds the school record for most games played with 76 surpassing the previous record of 71.
Both goalkeepers, Mia Railing and Caitlin Bestard, made their way up in the YSU books for career saves. Bestard is ranked second in career saves with 285, while Railing is ranked third with 270.
