UW-Milwaukee Panthers
(9-4-3 overall, 6-0-1 Horizon League)
Friday's win was the 100th of Michael Moynihan's coaching career. The program record-holder in wins since No. 47, he is just the fourth coach in school history to reach 100 soccer victories.

The Panthers finished their League slate unbeaten (6-0-1) for the second-straight year, the fifth time in six seasons and the sixth time overall. Only one other current league team has had an unbeaten league season (Butler, 1995, 6-0-0).

Erin Kane picked up her school record-tying eight shutout of the season Friday. In addition to doubling the previous freshmanrecord for shutouts (4), she also surpassed frosh marks for wins, starts, minutes played and remains well on pace to break the mark for GAA.

UW-Green Bay Phoenix
(9-7-1 overall, 5-2-0 Horizon League)
Despite having its consecutive shutout streak snapped by Wisconsin Oct. 20, the Phoenix rebounded with its seventh shutout of the year in its 3-0 win over Youngstown State Oct. 23. The seven shutouts posted by the Phoenix are the most since the 1993 season and ties for fourth in team history.

PStephanie Gross (23) and Sarah Oligney (21) are the second pair in three seasons to each tally 20 points in a season. In 2003, during Oligney's Co-Player of the Year campaign, she combined with Gwen Zimmerman for the feat.

Detroit Titans
(7-4-4, 4-1-1 Horizon League)
Rain outs usually only happen in spring sports that are played on diamonds, but for the second time this season the Titans had a game called off due to wet weather. Friday's match at IUPUI was cancelled after heavy rains fell in the Indianapolis area, leaving standing water at Carroll Stadium Friday. Detroit's originally scheduled date at Niagara was postponed due to the remnants of Hurricane Katrina that dumped almost four inches on Buffalo nearly eight weeks ago.

The Titans close out the regular season this week with a match against Youngstown State. Last season at YSU the Titans had to hold on after streaking themselves to a 3-0 lead at the half for a 3-2 win.

The Titans set a season high with four goals against Butler on Sunday. The previous high was three in the season opener against Big East member DePaul.

Wright State Raiders
(9-4-3, 2-1-2 Horizon League)
Wright State won its only game of the week this week by beating Cleveland State 5-1 at home Friday night. Jodie Shoaf tallied twice on three shots while Kim Chianese, Stephanie Habner and Kristen Olsen also scored. Kelly Kammer and Chianese added two assists each while Desire Morris and Lindsay Ferrau each added one assist.

WSU has a three-game winning streak entering the final week of the regular season and have not lost in four games. The Raiders have lost only once in the last ten games. WSU hosts Loyola Wednesday and Butler Friday.

Butler Bulldogs
(7-8-2, 2-4-0 Horizon League)
Seniors Meredith Buemi, Kathleen Coyle and Kate Lord were honored prior to Sunday's match against Detroit. It was the final home match for the 2005 tri-captains. Coyle picked up the first point of her Butler career Tuesday against IUPUI, assisting on Buemi's game-winner.

The Bulldogs close out the 2005 regular season Friday at Wright State in a Horizon League match with major tournament seeding implications. Entering this week's play, Butler could finish anywhere from fourth through seventh.

Loyola Ramblers
(6-8-1, 1-4-0 Horizon League)
The Ramblers finish the regular season against the state of Ohio with two Horizon League matches at Wright State (Oct. 21) and against Cleveland State at home (Oct. 28). Friday's match against the Vikings will mark the final home contest for seniors Megan McDonald and Jamie Wasielewski, who have won 32 matches, a Horizon League Tournament Championship and an NCAA Tournament berth in their collegiate careers.

Freshman forward Alexia Murray became the third Rambler this season to score her first collegiate goal when she hit the back of the net in the 22nd minute at Northwestern on Oct. 23.

Youngstown State Penguins
(6-16-0, 1-4-0 Horizon League)
The Penguins will end the regular season with a pair of Horizon League matches this week, playing at Detroit Friday and then hosting regional rival Cleveland State Sunday.

Brittny Humphrey has netted three of YSU's five goals this season, all of those coming in only five shots on goal.

Cleveland State Vikings
(0-16-0, 0-5-0 Horizon League)
The two matches this week will go a long way in determining CSU's first round opponent in next week's Horizon League Championships at UW-Green Bay. With a 6-0-1 record in league play, UW-Milwaukee has wrapped up the regular season title and will be the No. 1 seed in the tourney. At 0-6 this year, CSU is currently slated for the No. 8 seed and will play the Panthers in the opening round. That could change as the Vikings play the teams currently seeded sixth and seventh place. CSU could move ahead of both teams with a pair of wins this week while also most likely moving into the No. 7 slot with a win over either opponent.

A seven-save performance by Erin Withrow at Wright State last week allowed the freshman to become the second goalie in school history to record more than 100 saves in a season. Withrow, who has 107 saves in 16 matches this year, has five double-figure save matches this year.

Horizon League Player of the Week

Erin Kane
UW-Milwaukee
Freshman, Goalkeeper
St. Charles, Ill.

Kane made three saves in shutting out Loyola 1-0 Friday in the Panthers' only match last week. The shutout was her eighth of the season, tying a school record and doubling the previous school mark for a freshman. The win also clinched the outright regular-season Horizon League title for UW-Milwaukee. Kane was earned the weekly honor a League-high three times this season.
