Jackie Vera, Loyola
Freshman * Midfielder * Chicago, Ill.
Vera put together a terrific week, netting three goals in three matches as Loyola won two of the three contests. Vera got on the board in the 60th minute on Friday night, pulling LU into a 2-2 tie in an eventual overtime loss on the road at Drake, before closing the weekend in style. Other Top Performances from the Week Ending Sept. 24

Junior * Forward * Appleton, Wis.
Gorwitz continued her hot streak from last week with three goals in two games to lift the Phoenix to a 2-0-0 week. Against South Dakota State Sept. 22, Gorwitz scored the game's lone goal in the 85th minute for her second straight game-winner and her fourth straight Phoenix goal. Then, against IPFW Sept. 24, Gorwitz tallied two goals in the span of just over five minutes in the first half to put the game out of reach. All 13 of Gorwitz's points this season have come in the last three games.

Ashley Twehues, Butler
Junior * Midfielder * Fort Thomas, Ky.
Twehues scored her first goal of the 2006 season against Xavier on Sunday when she took a ball from Abbie Kaul and drilled a shot home from 25 yards. The midfielder tallied three goals and three assists for the Bulldogs a year ago, ranking third on the team in overall points.

Amber Rasmussen, Cleveland State
Junior * Forward * North Bloomfield, Ohio
Rasmussen needed just 13 seconds to find the back of the net in CSU's 2-1 loss to Indiana State on Friday. The goal, Rasmussen's first this season, was the fastest in a match in CSU history and gave the Vikings the early lead.

Megan Canty, Detroit
Junior * Midfielder * Royal Oak, Mich.
Canty scored her first goal of the season to tie the match with Hawaii at the OHANA Hotels and Resorts Soccer Invite on Thursday night and provided the helper on Mary Parker's game tying goal against Cal State Northridge on Saturday night. The score and assist were Canty's first since the 2004 season.

Sarah Teegarden, UW-Milwaukee
Sophomore * Midfielder * Batavia, Ill.
Teegarden scored the game-winning goal in UWM's only match of the week, a 1-0 win over South Dakota State on Sunday. It was her second goal of the season, both game-winners. Teegarden also helped Milwaukee dominate the midfield and allow just five shots for the match.

Amy Miller, Wright State
Sophomore * Midfielder * Springfield, Ohio
Miller extended her points streak to seven games and has scored a goal in each of the Raiders' last four contests. Miller netted the game-winning tally in the 53rd minute against IUPUI to help the Raiders remain unbeaten to that point. On Sunday, Miller stuck against Loyola on a penalty kick in the 87th minute to push her goal total to seven on the season, more than any Raider player had in the entire 2005 season.
