Wright State 94, UW-Green Bay 80


DAYTON-Wright State recorded its highest point total in three years and freshman Jordan Pleiman scored a career-best 21 points in a 94-80 win over UW-Green Bay in a Horizon League game at WSU's Nutter Center Sunday.


The Raiders most recent high score was against the same Phoenix in a 96-73 win on Jan. 19, 2002. Pleiman eclipsed his previous career high set on Jan. 26 against UIC.


The game was also the final regular season home game for the Raiders' lone senior, Zach Williams, who scored 19 points.


Drew Burleson also scored 19 points, while DaShaun Wood added 15 and Zakee Boyd scored 14. Wood and Pleiman each grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.


The first half saw a pair of ties and nine lead changes, but the Raiders (14-14, 8-8) took a 42-38 halftime lead. The first seven minutes of the second half saw four more ties and six lead changes before the Raiders pulled away with seven straight points to take a 59-52 lead with 11:30 remaining. WSU hit 13 of 18 free throws in the final 1:40 to ice the game.


Matt Rhode led UW-Green Bay (17-10 overall, 10-6) with 19 points, while Javier Mendiburu added 17. Josh Lawrence added 15 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
