The Wright State men's basketball team wrapped up its four-game tour of Italy with a 67-57 loss to Pallacanesto San Marino on Monday evening. The Raiders went 1-3 on the trip, falling to Fulgor Forli 93-63 on Saturday.
In Monday's setback, Wright State was outscored 42-19 across the second and third quarters. WSU jumped out to a 14-5 advantage and led 18-12 after a period, only to fall behind 37-31 at the break. Pallacanestro San Marino then extended the margin to 54-37 heading into the final quarter.
AJ Pacher paced the Raiders with 13 points while Matt Vest had 12 and Reggie Arceneaux 10.
On Saturday, it was a 67-percent shooting effort from Fulgor Forli that carried the squad to the win. Forli hit 12 of 18 shots in the opening two quarters, including eight of 15 from three-point range, in building a 57-27 advantage. WSU, meanwhile, was seven of 31 from the field and one of four from behind the arc.
Cole Darling paced the Raiders with 13 points while Arceneaux had 12 and Tavares Sledge 11. Wright State finished with a 46-39 rebounding edge.
The team will arrive back in the States Tuesday evening.
