Men's Soccer Claims Wolstein Classic Title
The Wright State men's soccer team claimed the Bert and Iris Wolstein Classic title Sunday afternoon with a 2-1 win over Cal State Fullerton in Columbus.

The Raiders and the Titans were scoreless at half, but WSU broke through first as junior Peguy Ngatcha picked up his second goal of the season from freshman Jackson Dietrich at the 48:00 minute mark.  It was Dietrich's third assist on the season.  It wasn't long before the Raiders went up 2-0 as junior Jake Stovall headed in a corner kick from junior Sam DeRoy at 49:45. Battle in Buffalo Comes Up Short
Despite a gritty effort on the road, the Belmont University men's soccer team (1-1-0) fell 3-1, Saturday afternoon at Buffalo (2-0-0).

"It's a disappointment. The result, but more so that we didn't give ourselves a chance to win because we gave up three goals off of restarts," said Head Coach Bryan Green. Read more

Titans Drop Overtime Match to Marshall, 1-0
The University of Detroit Mercy men's soccer team played in its second-straight overtime match Sunday afternoon, but despite out-shooting Marshall 15-8 in the contest, Detroit fell the the Thundering Herd in the first extra frame, 1-0, at Titan Field. It was Detroit's second game in three days after opening with a tie against IUPUI in the 2015 opener on Friday. Read more

Men's Soccer Falls, 2-1, on Pair of Late Goals by SMU
The UIC men’s soccer team (1-1-0) carried a 1-0 lead into the final 10 minutes of play, but SMU (2-0-0) would go on to score two goals in 70 seconds for the 2-1 win on Sunday night at Westcott Field. Max Todd scored for the Flames in the 71st minute for his first goal of the season. Read more

No. 6 Creighton University scored a pair of second-half goals in a four-minute span to open up a close game and claim a 4-0 victory over the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's soccer team Sunday afternoon at Morrison Stadium.

Vikings Fall 4-1 In Season Opener
The Cleveland State men's soccer team dropped their season opener on Sunday night, 4-1 to Robert Morris.

CSU controlled much of the possession battle in the first half, outshooting Robert Morris 5-2 and leading corner kicks 2-0 at the break. It was Robert Morris, however, that struck first as Neco Brett capitalized on a penalty kick in the 21st minute after CSU goalkeeper Nick Ciraldo was called for a foul near the top of the box.
