INDIANAPOLIS -- Turning in a shutout to lead Wright State to a first round bye in the Horizon League Tournament, Wright State freshman goalkeeper Craig Feehan (Pittsburgh, Pa.) has been named Horizon League Men’s Soccer Player of the Week, for the week of Oct. 31-Nov. 6. The accolade is the first of Feehan’s career.

With Wright State (10-6-2, 5-2-1 Horizon) needing a win to secure the No. 2 seed in the upcoming League tournament, Feehan stood tall in the face of a Butler attack that needed a tie or victory to wrap up a tournament bid. Instead, Feehan made eight saves to lead the Raiders to a 1-0 road win.

The shutout was the fourth of the year for Feehan, while his eight saves helped boost his save percentage to a Horizon League-best .788. The freshman is second in the League with a 1.03 goals-against average.

The No. 2 seed in the Horizon League Tournament, Wright State will meet the lowest remaining seed in the tournament, which starts on Tuesday, Nov. 8, with No. 3 Cleveland State hosting No. 6 Loyola and fifth-seeded UIC heading to No. 4 Green Bay. The Raiders will play on Friday, Nov. 11 at 4 p.m. ET, live on the Horizon League Network.

Top Performers for the Week:

  • Admir Suljevic, Cleveland State (So., F) - Suljevic played a direct role in both of Cleveland State’s goals in a 2-0 victory over Detroit. The sophomore netted the first goal of the match, his seventh of the year, before chipping in an assist on the game-clinching tally.
  • Peter McKeown, Loyola (Sr., GK) - The senior turned in his second consecutive shutout to help Loyola secure a berth in the Horizon League Tournament with a 1-0 win against visiting UIC. With five saves against the Flames, McKeown now ranks fifth on the Ramblers’ career saves list.
  • Craig Krzyskowski, UIC (Sr., D) - Coming off the bench for the Flames, Krzyskowski provided a lift, notching two goals in a 3-1 win over Milwaukee, clinching a place in the Horizon League Tournament. The senior got the Flames on the board in the 57th minute and then followed up with a critical insurance goal in the closing stages of the match.
