INDIANAPOLIS -- Wright State senior Jeff Limbaugh has been named the Horizon League Batter of the Week, while Milwaukee junior Cody Peterson and Valparaiso senior Cole Webb are Co-Pitchers of the Week for the period of April 14-20.

Limbaugh hit .500 at the plate as the Raiders swept UIC this past weekend to improve to 15-2 in League play this season and open up a 6.5-game lead on the field. The senior outfielder opened the series with a 2-for-4 effort with two RBIs and two runs scored as the Raiders won, 11-5. He was 3-for-4 with a triple, RBI and run scored on Friday as WSU clinched the series with a 4-1 win. On Saturday, Limbaugh was 1-for-4 at the plate as the Raiders completed the sweep. He hit a two-out RBI double in the second to tie the game at two and scored the game-winning run in the eighth inning as Wright State won, 9-7. He finished the week with a .750 slugging percentage, four runs scored and five RBIs.

Peterson and Webb shared Pitcher of the Week honors after both threw gems in consecutive days. Webb took the mound on Thursday for the Crusaders and threw his first career complete game shutout as Valpo defeated Milwaukee, 4-0. Webb set his career-high in the outing with eight strikeouts and allowed just two hits and one walk as the Crusaders ended UWM’s 20-game home winning streak. It also marked the first time Milwaukee has been shutout in 99 games.

Peterson helped Milwaukee start a new home winning streak on Friday as the junior righthander matched Webb with a complete game shutout of his own. Peterson gave up just one hit in the contest and took a no-hitter into the eighth inning. He struck out a season-high eight and walked just one Crusader batter as the Panthers won, 3-0.
