INDIANAPOLIS -- Wright State’s Cassandra Lloyd (Springfield, Ohio) and Jessica Berry (Huber Heights, Ohio) have been named the Horizon League Women’s Track and Field Athletes of the Week for the week of Jan. 2 - 8.

For the second week in a row, Lloyd has been named the Track Athlete of the Week. She competed in three different events for Wright State. The senior took sixth place in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.78 and ran a 8.23 in the 60-meter hurdles to take second out of 14 competitors. The mark is a new school record and Lloyd now ranks second in the nation in the event. Her third event of the day was the 200-meter dash, where she finished 5th with a time of 25.79.

Berry, a pole vaulter for the Raiders, finished in first place at the Buckeye Classic. Her leap of 10’6 is a new indoor personal best for the sophomore.

Wright State will be back in action next weekend when they travel to Bowling Green, Ohio for the Bowling Green Opener.
