INDIANAPOLIS – Wright State’s junior Cassandra Lloyd (Springfield, Ohio) has earned the Horizon League Women’s Track Athlete of the Week honors, while senior Heather Parrish (Burlington, North Carolina) has received Women’s Field Athlete of the Week accolades.

Running in the Early Bird Relays, Lloyd collected two first-place finishes, leading her team to a second-place finish out of 13 teams. She won the 200 meter dash(24:87) and 100 meter hurdles(13.93) while taking fifth-place in the 100 meter dash. Lloyd was also part of the 4x100 meter relay team that set a new school record in a time of 47.43.

Senior teammate Parrish won two field events last weekend at the Early Bird Relays. She took first-place in both the long jump(5.55m) and triple jump(11.49m). She also competed in the 100 meter dash and was a member of the record-setting 4x100 relay team.

Wright State will take this weekend off before returning to Cincinnati, Ohio for the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational on April 1-2.
