DES MOINES, Iowa -- Milwaukee senior Durell Busby (Canaan, Tobago/Signal Hill) took 12th overall in the 110-meter hurdles, while Wright State senior Cassandra Lloyd (Springfield, Ohio/South) finished seventh in her semifinal heat at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday, taking 19th place overall in the 100-meter hurdles.

Busby earned All-America Second-Team honors after finishing 12th in the 110m hurdles at the NCAA Championships at historic Drake Stadium Thursday, bringing Milwaukee's 2012 outdoor season to a close.

The junior just missed earning a spot in Saturday's finals, finishing fifth in his heat with a time of 13.77 in what proved to be the toughest heat as the top four finishers advanced. He finished 12th overall, earning Second-Team All-American honors. He is UWM's third Division I All-American after junior Samia Taylor became the second last year after taking 18th in triple jump. Overall, he is the 60th All-American in school history.

Two weeks ago, Busby earned his Olympic trial time for his home nation of Trinidad & Tobago. He will run in Port of Spain, Trinidad on Saturday, June 23 trying to earn a berth to this year's summer Olympics in London.

Lloyd ran the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 13.36 at the venerable Drake Stadium, collecting 19th place and All-America honors.

Last week, Lloyd set a new personal and school record time at the NCAA East Regionals in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.17.  That time ranked her ninth in the east and 14th nationally.

Last year, Lloyd became the school's first track All-American as she posted the 14th best time at the national meet, clocking a time of 13.33.

She won the Horizon League 100-meter hurdles title in each of her four years of competition. Additionally, she was named the Horizon League Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year in 2010 and 2011. She is also a three-time Indoor Track Athlete of the Year, winning in 2010, 2011 and 2012.

The remainder of the 2012 NCAA Outdoor Championships will be streamed live through ESPN3.com and Saturday's coverage action will be covered on ESPNU from noon until 2 p.m.
