Wright State's Wieczerzak and Cleveland State's Cummings earn weekly honors

INDIANAPOLIS –Wright State’s Krystyna Wieczerzak is the women’s swimmer of the week and Kacey Cummings is the women’s diver of the week for Jan. 18-24.

Wieczerzak, a senior from Lodz, Poland, has earned her first swimmer of the week award for the season, as she helped the Raiders to a win over Horizon League opponents, Cleveland State and Youngstown State on Saturday (Jan. 22). She won both the 200 Backstroke (2:05.01) and 200 Individual Medley (2:08.58) while taking second-place in the 100 backstroke (58.64). She was also part of the winning 200 Medley Relay team.

Cummings, a junior from Farmington Hills, Mich., has earned back-to-back diver of the week awards. She earned a personal best score in the one-meter dive on Saturday, taking first-place with a score 271.95. She was runner-up in the three-meter dive scoring 238.70.

Cleveland State returns to action tomorrow night (Jan. 26), traveling to Bowling Green Ohio to take on Bowling Green State University with a 6pm (EST) start. Wright State will return to action Jan. 29 competing against Xavier with a start time of 11am (EST).
