Wright State's Zilinskaite and Milwaukee's George earn weekly honors

INDIANAPOLIS –Wright State’s Rasa Zilinskaite is the Horizon League women’s swimmer of the week and Milwaukee’s Kelsey George is the women’s diver of the week for Feb. 1-7.

Zilinskaite, a junior from Kaunas, Lithuania, has earned her first swimmer of the week award for the season, as she helped the Raiders to a win over Cincinnati on Saturday (Feb. 5). She won both individual events she competed in and also helped the 400 Freestyle Relay and 400 Medley Relay teams to first-place finishes.  Zilinskaite set a pool record in the 100 Butterfly (57.27) and also competed in the 50 Freestyle, finishing in a time of 25.09.

George, a senior from Middleton, Wis., has earned her fourth player of the week award on the season. She took first-place in the Three-Meter, scoring 278.55 and was runner-up in the One-Meter, scoring 243.30.

All Horizon League swimming and diving programs are off until the Horizon League Championship, Feb. 23-26, hosted by Cleveland State in Cleveland, Ohio. HLN will provide live coverage on www.horizonleague.com.
