#HLMBB Scoreboard (Dec. 19)
Wright State 70, Eastern Illinois 43

DAYTON, Ohio -- Behind a balanced attack, Wright State snapped a four-game losing streak, rolling past visiting Eastern Illinois, 70-43, at the WSU Nutter Center.

Thirteen Wright State (6-7) players saw the court, but the Raiders did not have a single player reach 10 points in the game. Instead, a bevy of Raiders scored between seven and nine points, with eight different players falling in that range. Both Miles Dixon and Chrishawn Hopkins scored nine points to lead the Raiders.

Leading by eight, 31-23, at the half, Wright State steadily pulled away in the second half, shooting 14-of-20 in the final 20 minutes.

The Panthers led 21-19 following a Sherman Blanford three-point play with 6:44 remaining in the first half, only to see the Raiders close the period with a 12-2 run, four of those coming from Dixon.

Defensively, Wright State got back on track against the Panthers, forcing 21 turnovers and holding Eastern Illinois to 7-of-19 shooting in the second half. Twelve of those turnovers came in the first half, enabling Wright State to build an 11-2 advantage in points off of turnovers.

A WSU 13-0 run over a five-minute span in the second half extended the margin to 60-35 with 5:55 to play and the advantage grew to as much as 28 on two occasions down the stretch.
