WSU WBB Player Courtney Boyd Featured by NCAA

Wright State women’s basketball player Courtney Boyd tells her story of growing up and making the best of her situation as a child and now young adult in the upcoming NCAA Champion Magazine.  The title of the story is “A Game and A Plan.”

NCAA author Amy Wimmer Schwarb and photographer Amanda Goehlert do an excellent job examining Courtney’s life and what brought her to Wright State.  The opening tease says it all:  “Courtney Boyd didn’t want to follow her peers into the life of drugs and despair that consumed her hometown.  To move on, she would need a new family, a new home, a new name—and the belief that an education could change her life.”
