INDIANAPOLIS -- Wright State senior forward Emilie Fillion (Saint-Hubert, Quebec) has been named Horizon League Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Cleveland State sophomore goalkeeper Sarah Wood (Spokane, Wash.) has earned Defensive Player of the Week accolades for the week of Aug. 19-25.

Fillion scored a goal and assisted on the game-winner as the Raiders (1-0-1) opened the season with a 2-1 double-overtime win at IPFW. On Sunday, Fillion scored WSU’s lone goal of the match as the Raiders finished with a 1-1 draw at Ohio.

Wood helped Cleveland State to a pair of wins last week, making 20 saves in the two matches. She tallied 11 saves, tied for the fifth-most in CSU history, in the season-opening win over Canisius. She followed that up with nine saves in a 2-1 win over Bowling Green on Sunday.

Wright State heads out west this week, taking on Pepperdine in Malibu, Calif., on Thursday before playing at Nevada on Sunday. Cleveland State takes to the road for the first time this season when it plays at Kent State on Friday and at Western Michigan on Sunday.

Top Offensive Performers for the Week:
Rita Craven, Valparaiso (So., F) - Scored the game-winning goal against DePaul on Friday.
Brittany Dowd, Youngstown State (Sr., D) - Score first career goal in YSU’s win over Niagara, goal came with :56 seconds left in the match to break a 1-1 tie.
Anna Mindling, Detroit (Fr., F) - Scored first two collegiate goals of career in UDM’s 2-2 tie at Central Michigan on Sunday.
Meghan Reynolds, Oakland (Sr., F) - Tallied a goal and an assist in win at Eastern Illinois and had OU’s lone goal in loss at Michigan.
Amanda Sivic Cleveland State (Jr., F) - Tallied three points with a goal and assists to help CUS to a pair of wins.

Top Defensive Performers for the Week:
Kristen Manski, Valparaiso (Jr., GK) - Had 23rd shutout of career in win over DePaul. Only goal she gave up on the weekend came on a penalty kick.
Brooke McCurdy, Wright State (Sr., GK) - Made four saves at IPFW and seven saves at Ohio.
