LEXINGTON, Ky. - Youngstown State University built an 11-stroke lead during the first two rounds of the 54-hole Horizon League Women's Golf Championship Saturday at par-72 Kearney Hill Golf Links. Loyola University Chicago's Nikki Miller (80-77=157)holds a one-stroke lead over the defending individual champion, Youngstown State's Katie Rogner. The third and final round will tee off Sunday at 8 a.m.

The Penguins (331-319=650) held a 5-stroke lead over Cleveland State University after the first round, and extended the advantage as Rogner fired a Saturday-best 75. Brittany Stillwagon and Samantha Formeck added a 79 and 82, respectively, in the second round.

Loyola (337-324=661), led by Miller (80-77=157), stands second. Miller birdied three of he first four holes in the second round, and held on during her run to the clubhouse to hold the slim edge over Rogner. Lucille McGovern (83-80=163) and Kaitlin Kearney (84-82=166) followed Miller for the Ramblers.

Cleveland State (336-326=662) stands one stroke behind Loyola, followed by the University of Detroit Mercy (338-330=668), Butler University (347-327=674) and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (357-363=720).

Butler has won the tournament the last four years, but placed fifth after each of Saturday's two rounds.
