INDIANAPOLIS – Youngstown State senior Alisha Anthony (Van Wert, Ohio) was named the Women’s Field Athlete of the Week, while Butler sophomore Kirsty Legg (Middlesborough, England) earned the Women’s Track Athlete of the Week award.

Anthony is currently ranked in the top 40 in the nation in the long jump after competing at the Duke Inviational last weekend. She won the event, recording a 5.75 meter jump over 36 other particpants. She also competed in the triple jump(11.91m), taking fourth-place out of 22 competitors. Anthony was also a member of the 4 x 100 meter relay team that placed sixth, with a time of 48.02.

Legg won the 800 meter event, crossing the finish-line in a time of 2:11.97. Her time currently puts her in first-place in the League. She also competed in the 1,500 meter, taking 10th-place out of 72 participants. Her time of 4:33.17 puts her in second-place in the League.

Youngstown State returns to action next weekend(April 15-16), competing at the Sea Ray Relays in Knoxville, Tenn. Butler is also back in action next weekend, traveling to Walnut, California to compete in the Mt. Sac Relays.
