Youngstown State 4, Canisius 0
After not scoring a goal in two years, Youngstown State’s Rachel Morrison scored her second and third goals of the young season to lead the Penguins to a 4-0 rout of visiting Canisius.

Youngstown State (4-0-0) improved upon its program-best start behind Morrison and a shutout from Ali Viola, who made three saves.

Morrison, who has has a team-high three goals this season, became the first player to score two goals in a match since Jade Flory last year. The junior opened the scoring when she received Allison Ludwig’s corner kick and slapped a shot past Canisius goalkeeper Megan Tock at the 31:30 mark of the first half.

The Guins took a 2-0 lead when Shannon Leghart entered a long pass into the penalty-box and a touch pass from Flory found Morrison for her second goal at the 58:57 mark.

Chelsea Haney got in the scoring column and gave the Guins a 3-0 at the 78.56 mark after taking a pass from Flory and streaking the last 30 yards for a one-on-one against Canisius keeper  Kailee DeFranks.

Cara Armstrong closed the scoring with just 12 seconds left in the match taking a pass from Leghart and streaking down the left sideline and blasting her second goal of the season into the lower-right corner from 20 yards out.

Green Bay 1, Northern Iowa 0
Green Bay opened the SIU Edwardsville Classic by collecting its first win of the year, getting a late goal to get past Northern Iowa, 1-0.

The first half saw a pair of goals from Oakland in a span of just under two minutes. A goal at 13:51 and another at 15:12 put the Titans in a 2-0 deficit.

Detroit (2-3-0) countered with a marker of its own as Carter cashed in on a cross from Jennifer Borawski and Kaitlyn Quarrell. Borawski played a ball from the right side and sent it to the left side of the six-yard box, where Quarrell headed it towards the right side of the net and Carter directed it into the goal.

For Loyola (1-3-0), Kristin Papierski and Alex Brown led the Ramblers on offense with two shots apiece while Monica Gonyo made seven saves back in goal. Toledo outshot Loyola 12-9, also taking a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.
