INDIANAPOLIS -- Youngstown State, champions of the Horizon League, will head to Columbus, Ohio, and face No. 4 Ohio State in the first round of the 2016 NCAA Women's Tennis Tournament.
Youngstown State brings a 12-12 record into its third straight NCAA Tournament appearance. After a 7-2 Horizon League season, the Penguins rolled through three matches in the Horizon League Tournament, earning the League's automatic bid with a 4-2 victory over Wright State.
The Penguins are in their third straight NCAA Tournament in as many years under head coach Mickael Sopel. Last season, Youngstown State fell, 4-0, at No. 1 overall seed USC.
First round matches will open on Friday, May 13, with the NCAA Championship contested May 19-24 in Tulsa, Okla.
