Why did you decide to attend
I had a great time on my recruiting trip, liked the girls, and could see myself fitting into the program.
What is the best aspect of being a part of YSU's volleyball team?
The best part is the great friendships that I have made and getting to compete at the D-1 level.
What do you feel is your biggest accomplishment throughout your collegiate career on the court and in the classroom?
On the court, it's been improving year to year to ultimately help lead my team as a senior. In the classroom, it is maintaining a 4.0 GPA
Has it been beneficial to you, being from
Definitely! My parents have been able to come to almost all of my home games throughout my career and watch me which has been nice.
What do you feel is the biggest challenge you have faced thus far in your collegiate career?
Balancing school work, volleyball and my social life. It is difficult to find time for everything.
What have you gained being the President of YSU's SAAC?
I have gained leadership skills and have met many new people. The thing I like the most about SAAC is being able to represent my school at the Horizon League SAAC meeting in
You have a birthday coming up - Any special plans?
No special plans, but I am excited about going home the next day for Thanksgiving!
What do you enjoy doing most in the off-season?
[I enjoy] having extra free time and getting better for the next season.
What do you do, both individually and as a team, to prepare right before a game?
We love to listen to loud music and DANCE to get pumped up before a game!!
Being a 4.0 student, how hard has it been to juggle your academics along with volleyball during your four years?
It has been difficult to balance everything, but it has forced me to be more organized and to not procrastinate.
What are your career plans after graduation?
My degree is in Education, and I eventually want to get a teaching job. But right out of college, I want to get a job working in sports.
Who has had the biggest influence on your career?
My high school coach, Dave Holtsberry, influenced my volleyball career the most by encouraging me to play in college.
If you could change one thing about your sport, what would it be?
I would change it back so that the serve can't hit the net, because it always does and drops in front of me! It makes me so
If you were to go to the Olympics, in which sport would you like to compete in? (Except for volleyball)
I would love to compete in gymnastics because I think it is amazing that they can do those things. However, I think that I am too tall!!!
What TV show would you most like to appear on and why?
Desperate Housewives because it is one of my favorite shows and I think it would be really
Where in the world would you like to travel to and why?
I would like to go to
If you could be any reality TV star, who would it be and why?
I would like to be on The Bachelorette because I would be surrounded by good-looking men who are all trying to win me over!
If you could meet anyone, past or present, who would it be and why?
[I would meet] Oprah Winfrey because I think she is an amazing woman who has done a lot to better the world.
If you could get front row tickets to any concert, now or in the past, which would it be? New Kids on the Block (past) or Mariah Carey (present)
If you found a blank check signed by Donald Trump on the side of the road, how much would you write it for and what would you buy?
$100 million!! I would buy a new car and a beach house, give my family money and give a lot to charity.
What is your favorite professional sports team to watch?
I like to watch the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Cavaliers.
What is your favorite holiday?
It's Christmas, because I get to go home and spend time with my family.
What do you like to do on a rainy day?
Take a nap, watch a movie, or read a great book!
What would people find surprising about you?
I enjoy making people smile and laugh!
