The Youngstown State baseball team learned it would be heading to Bloomington, Ind., for the 2014 NCAA Baseball Tournament on Monday afternoon.

The Penguins - who won the Horizon League Championship last week - will face overall No. 4 seed Indiana on Friday at 7 p.m. ET. Youngstown State will face either Stanford or Indiana State in the second game of the tournament.

This is YSU's second postseason appearance in baseball. The Penguins also made the NCAA Tournament in 2004.

Youngstown State entered last week's Horizon League Tournament as the sixth-seed, but the Penguins won all four of their games, including two victories over top-seed Wright State, to claim the championship.

Last year, the Horizon League Champion Valparaiso was sent to the Bloomington Regional. The Crusaders led Indiana for much of the game before falling to the Hoosiers, 5-4. Valpo rebounded the next day to eliminate Florida before seeing its season end against Austin Peay in the next game.
