Indianapolis – Youngstown State junior Brandon Pluchinsky (North Lima, Ohio) and Oakland freshman Elle Nichols (Okemos, Mich.) have been named the Horizon League Golfers of the Week for the period of Oct. 8-21.
Pluchinsky finished second out of 100 golfers at the Dayton Fall Invitational. He was in 15th place after the first round before firing the lowest second round score (68) of the tournament to move up 13 spots. The finish marked his second second-place finish of the fall and his fourth top-10 finish.
Nichols won her second Golfer of the Week award in the fall after finishing runner-up at the Dayton Fall Invitational. Nichols final round score of 71 was the best of the tournament as she finished with a five-over-par 145, one shot behind the winner. The Golden Grizzlies finished second out of 15 teams at the tournament.

Sean Burgess, Oakland – Burgess shot an identical two day round of 73-53—148 to his teammate Jaskoske as both players finished in a tie for 10th at the Dayton Fall Invitational.
Kyle Gaines, Detroit – Gaines shot a 71-73—144 to finish fourth out of 100 golfers at the Dayton Fall Invitational. The Titans finished the tournament in fourth place.
Allyson Hackman, Cleveland State – Hackman finished in a tie for fifth place at the Toledo Rocket Classic.
Joe Harris, Valparaiso – Harris shot a 73-72—145 to finish in a tie for fifth place at the Dayton Fall Invitational.
Jimmy Jaskoske, Oakland – Jaskoske shot a 75-73—148 to finish in a tie for 10th place at the Dayton Fall Invitational.
Kelsey Jensen, UIC – Jensen shot identical rounds of 78 to finish in a tie for 13th place out of 93 golfers at the Dayton Fall Invitational.
Angie Kim, Valparaiso – Kim shot a 78-77—155 to finish in a tie for 11th place at the Dayton Fall Invitational.
Cody Nickson, Wright State – Nickson shot a 75-76—151 to finish in a tie for 22nd place at the Dayton Fall Invitational.
Sarah Thompson, Detroit – Thompson recorded a career-best 149 (74-75) to finish in fourth place at the Dayton Fall Invitational. Her 74 in the first round was a career-low round.
