2008 Women's Golf Championship Highlights

The 2008 Horizon League Tennis Championship concluded Sunday afternoon as the Cleveland State University men and University of Illinois at Chicago women were crowned champions. It was the Vikings first appearance in the finals and their first title in school history, while the Flames claimed the League title for 12th-consecutive year.

Cleveland State defeated Wright State 70-56 to win its first-ever Horizon League Women’s Basketball Championship on Sunday. With the win, the Vikings earned the League’s automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.

The Milwaukee’s men’s track and field team totaled 176 points and claimed its fifth-consecutive Horizon League championships title on Sunday at the Kent State University Field House. On the women’s side, Youngstown State took home the team title for the first time since 2005 with 170 points.

The Cleveland State University Vikings defeated the Valparaiso University Crusaders 3-1 (30-27, 28-30, 30-27, 30-23) in the championship final match of the 2007 Horizon League Volleyball Championship Saturday at the Klotsche Center. With the win, CSU earned the League’s automatic bid to the 2007 NCAA Volleyball Championship for the first time in school history and captured its first-ever tournament crown.
