INDIANAPOLIS – Butler sophomore Craig Jordan (Indianapolis, Ind.) has been named the Horizon League Men’s Track and Field Runner of the Week, while Milwaukee freshman Scott Erickson (Greenfield, Wis.) has been selected the League’s Field Athlete of the Week, for the week beginning Feb. 14.

Running at the Eastern Illinois Friday Night Special, Jordan tallied the Butler men’s lone win of the evening, crossing the tape first in the mile run.  The Pike H.S.-product recorded the fifth-fastest time in the Horizon League this year, recording a mark of 4:12.71 when coverted to account for the track.

At the Milwaukee Panther Tune-Up, Erickson shone in the field, winning the shot put and finishing second in the weight throw.  Tossing a personal best 51’4 1/2” in the shot put, Erickson tallied the seventh-best mark in Milwaukee history.  The mark is the second-best in the League heading into the Horizon League Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Both student-athletes will be competing at the Horizon League Indoor Track & Field Championships, taking place Feb. 26-27, at the GaREAT Sports Complex in Geneva, Ohio.  Coverage throughout the weekend will be available on HorizonLeague.com.
