Cleveland State 69, Indiana 58
With three players scoring in double-figures and a commanding defense, the Cleveland State women's basketball team defeated the Indiana Hoosiers Sunday, 69-58. CSU's victory, which was the first road win of the season, snapped Indiana's six-game win streak and marked the second all-time victory against the Hoosiers.

For the fifth straight game CSU had three players score in double-figures, led by Winton who notched her sixth 20-point game of the season with 23 against the Hoosiers. The Preseason All-Horizon League first team member also had a career-high nine assists in the contest. Kiersten Green, who has tallied double-figures in the past four games, notched a career-high 15 Sunday afternoon, on a 5-for-11 performance from the field. Cori Coleman was the final Viking to score in double-digits, recording 13, including a trio of three-pointers.

For the first time this season Cleveland State led during the entire first half, including a 12-point advantage at the 2:33 mark. The Vikings opened the second half with a 10-point lead, and were able to hold a double-digit advantage over the first 3:12 of the frame. Over the next three minutes Indiana went on a 9-4 run, closing the contest to six points (46-40), but the Vikings responded with a 6-3 run out of the timeout, including four points from Winton and two from Coleman, gaining a nine-point lead at 52-43 with 10:32 left to play.

The Hoosiers were able to come within three points three times over the final five minutes, but that would be as close as they could get as CSU answered with a Green jumper and a pair of three-pointers from Haley Schmitt and Winton each time.

Over the final 1:35 Cleveland State went on a 9-1 run, including a 4-for-4 performance from Green at the free throw line, to earn the 69-58 victory.

Detroit 65, Ohio 53
The Titans used a 23-3 run that spanned both halves on Sunday afternoon to catapult themselves to a 65-53 win over Ohio.

Demeisha Fambro finished the game with 17 points and seven rebounds, while sophomore Shareta Brown tallied 19 points, tied her season high with 15 rebounds and handed out a season-best six assists. Freshman Rosanna Reynolds had 14 points, while sophomore Audrey Matteson netted five points and pulled down a career-best 13 rebounds

Ohio had a 24-17 lead in the first half, but the Titans ended the frame on an 18-3 run to take a 35-27 lead into the break. Coming out of the half, the Titan onslaught continued as Fambro added another layup and Brown broke the defense down for a basket to put the red, white and blue out in front, 39-27.

Ohio would trim the Detroit advantage down to six on a few occasions, the latest at 52-46 with 8:27 left, but UDM would put the game away with an 11-0 run in the next three minutes to give the Titans its largest lead of the day, 63-46, with 5:21 remaining. Once that lead went to double-digits, it never got under 10 as Detroit sealed away the rest of the game for the 12-point victory.

Yar Shayok finished with six points, seven rebounds and three assists and junior Megan Hatter totaled four points and four boards.

The Titan defense held Ohio to just 30.4% shooting and outrebounded the Bobcats, 48-37. UDM shot 45.6%, including 51.9% in the first half, and held a 44-14 advantage in points in the paint.
