Cleveland State clinched its second Horizon League regular season title in four seasons on Friday night with the Vikings' 3-1 win at UIC. The regular season title means the Vikings will host the 2015 Horizon League Championship which begins on Friday, Nov. 20. CSU will begin play in the championship in the semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 21 and the championship match will be played on Sunday, Nov. 22.
CSU Captures Horizon League Regular Season Title With 3-1 Win At UIC
With a 3-1 win at UIC Friday evening, the Cleveland State volleyball team clinched the Horizon League Regular Season Title and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Horizon League Tournament. Friday's win against the Flames improved CSU to 24-5 overall this season and 13-2 in league play.
Volleyball Cruises to Win Over Penguins
The Valparaiso University volleyball team hardly took a misstep on the attack Friday evening in a Horizon League matchup with Youngstown State at the ARC as the Crusaders rolled to a 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-13) sweep of the Penguins. With the win, Valpo improved to 24-7 overall and 10-4 in league play, securing the third seed for the upcoming Horizon League Championship.
WSU Closes Season With Win at Oakland
The Wright State volleyball team closed out its season Friday night on a high note, knocking off Oakland in four sets at the O'Rena. The Raiders won the match 21-25, 25-20, 29-27, 25-20.
