INDIANAPOLIS -- Cleveland State junior midfielder Chloe Fadenholz (Brookpark, Ohio) is the Horizon League Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Youngstown State senior goalkeeper Jackie Podolsky (Canfield, Ohio) has earned Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 2-8.

Fadenholz helped the Vikings to a 2-1 week as she totaled two goals and an assist in three games. She scored the first goal and assisted on the third goal of the game in CSU’s 3-1 midweek over Akron. On Friday, she scored the game-winning goal in the 66th minute in the Vikings’ 2-1 win over Bowling Green. The goal in the Bowling Green match marked the third straight contest in which she scored a goal.

Cleveland State (3-4) has won three of its last four matches and returns to action this week when it plays at Canisius on Friday and at Niagara on Sunday.

Podolsky earned the Defensive Player of the Week nod after helping lead the Penguins to a tie in their match versus Big Ten foe Purdue on Sunday. She faced 31 shots, including 11 shots on goal in the contest, making 10 saves. She stopped a potential game-winning penalty kick in the second half to help preserve the 1-1 tie.

Youngstown State (3-2-1) returns to the pitch on Friday when it plays at Duquesne.

Rita Craven, Valparaiso (Jr., M) - Scored game-winning goal of 3-0 win at Western Illinois. Has four career goals now and all of them have been match-winners.
Heidi Hartmann, Green Bay (Jr., F) - Scored two goals in win over Chicago State. Now has League-best six goals on the season.
Tyesha Kizer, Youngstown State (So., M) - Scored first goal of season early in second half of 1-1 tie with Purdue.
Morgan LaPlant, Milwaukee (Sr., M) - Scored both UWM goals in 3-2 loss to DePaul on Sunday.
Ashley Miltko, Wright State (Sr., F) - Scored game-winning goal in 2-1 win over St. Francis (Pa.).

Top Defensive Performers for the Week:
Sydney Galvez-Daley, Valparaiso (So., GK) - Picked up third career shutout in win at Western Illinois. Has current shutout streak of 236 minutes.
Marina Manzo, Detroit (Fr., GK) - made a career-high nine saves, including eight in the first half, versus Colorado.
Halle Pyle, Wright State (Jr., GK) - Recorded three saves in 2-1 win over St. Francis (Pa.)
