Second Half Surge Lifts Detroit to 2-1 Win Over Wright State -- Box Score
DETROIT (9/27/2014) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's soccer team scored two second-half goals Saturday to earn a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Wright State University in the Titans' home opener at Titan Field. The game was also the Horizon League opener for both teams.
Trailing 1-0 after halftime, the Titans (4-3-1, 1-0 HL) came out as a different team in the second half, putting offensive pressure on Wright State's back line. Detroit finally broke through for a goal in the 72nd minute as sophomore Adam Clauss (Grand Haven, Mich. / Spring Lake) rocketed a ball into the back of the net off a corner kick by freshman Spiro Pliakos (Rochester Hills, Mich. / Rochester). Men's Soccer Drops Horizon League Opener at Detroit -- Box Score
The Wright State men's soccer team led 1-0 in the second half, but two Detroit goals in a 1:33 span lifted the Titans to a 2-1 decision in the Horizon League opener for both teams Saturday in Detroit.
Senior Emeka Ononye gave the Raiders a 1-0 lead at the 41:10 mark of the first half with his first goal of the season, a header off the post following a free kick by sophomore forward Eric Lynch. It was Lynch's sixth assist of the year. Read more
Men's Soccer Wins League Opener, 3-1, at Milwaukee -- Box Score
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Cleveland State men's soccer team opened Horizon League play with a 3-1 victory at Milwaukee on Saturday night at Engelmann Field.
CSU improved to 3-5 overall and 1-0 in league play, while the Panthers dropped to 3-5-1 and 0-1 in the Horizon League. Read more

MILWAUKEE - Senior Laurie Bell scored on a penalty kick early in the second half to kickstart a possible comeback for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's soccer team, but Cleveland State University responded late to claim a 3-1 victory Saturday night at Engelmann Stadium.
The Panthers (3-5-1, 0-1 Horizon League) dominated the second-half against the Vikings (3-5-0, 1-0 Horizon League), but early mistakes prevented the comeback in the Horizon League opener for both teams. Read more
