INDIANAPOLIS -- Detroit senior Lindsey Lammers (Milan, Mich.) is the Horizon League Women’s Golfer of the Week for the week of Oct. 16-23.

Lammers shot rounds of 75-74-149 to lead Detroit to a first-place finish at the Dayton Flyer Fall Invitational. It’s the second time in as many years Detroit has taken top honors at the event.

Her score of 149 earned her a third-place finish, a mere two strokes off the lead set by Rachel Thompson of Marshall. The right-handed golfer led the competition with eight birdies. She was also in the top 10 in par 3 scoring average (3.25), par 4 scoring average (4.38) and tied for the lead in par 5 (4.50) scoring average. This is Lammers’ first career Golfer of the Week honor.

That concludes the fall season for Detroit. The Titans will look to defend their title at the 2014 Horizon League Women’s Golf Championship, which takes place at Mission Inn Resort in Howie-in-the-Hills, Fla. on April 26-27.
