INDIANAPOLIS -- Detroit’s Vince Lefler (Midland, Mich.) and Youngstown State’s Bobby Grace (Middleburg Heights, Ohio) have been selected as the Men’s Track & Field Athletes of the Week for the week of Nov. 28.

Lefler, a junior hurdler, competed at Notre Dame’s Blue and Gold Invite and had two top-five finishes. In the 500m race, he finished in first place with a new personal-best time of 1:06.57. Lefler also competed in the 60-meter hurdles for the Titans. He finished with a time of 8.57 to take fourth place in the competition. This is Lefler’s first Athlete of the Week honor.

After missing last year’s indoor season, Grace competed in the shot put and weight throw for the Penguins at the YSU Invitational over the weekend. He started with a personal-best mark of 58-2 in the shot put to take first place out of 18 competitors. The mark was the third-longest throw in school history. The sophomore also had a toss of 53-7 in the weight throw to take second place.

Detroit and Youngstown State will not compete again until Jan. 13. The Titans will travel to the Central Michigan Invitational in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. and the Penguins will make the short trip to Akron, Ohio for the Akron Quad.
