INDIANAPOLIS -- Detroit senior midfielder Alyssa Riley (Whitby, Ontario) is the Horizon League Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Cleveland State junior goalkeeper Sarah Wood (Spokane, Wash.) has earned Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 8-14.

Riley had a hand in all four of Detroit’s goals this past week to earn offensive honors. She had UDM’s lone goal in its loss to Ohio on Friday night. On Sunday afternoon, she scored two goals and assisted on another in the Titans 3-0 win at Bowling Green. Riley scored both of her goals in the span of one minute and 24 seconds as she connected on a header in the 38th minute and scored again off a rebound in the 39th minute. She finished the weekend with a League-best seven points.

Detroit (2-4-1) is off this week and returns to action Wednesday, Sept. 24 when it begins League play by hosting Cleveland State.

Wood earned the Defensive Player of the Week nod after recording two shutouts and helping CSU post a 1-0-1 mark on its two game road trip. She made two saves in the Vikings 4-0 win over Canisius on Friday and had eight saves in 110 minutes in CSU’s 0-0 draw with Niagara on Sunday. She has now notched three shutouts on the year and has given up just three goals in the last six matches.

Cleveland State (4-4-1) plays its final non-conference match of the season on Friday as it hosts Eastern Kentucky at 7 p.m. ET.

Top Offensive Performers for the Week:
Vienna Behnke, Milwaukee (Sr., M) - Had a goal and two assists, including game-winning assist - in UWM’s 5-4 win over Marquette on Thursday.
Rita Craven, Valparaiso (Jr., M) - Scored game-winning goal  in 1-0 win at IPFW. Has five career goals now and all of them have been match-winners.
Mackenzie Fuller, UIC (Fr., MF) - Recorded two shots in UIC’s matches last week.
Vickie Havas, Cleveland State (Jr., F) - Scored the first goal of the game in 4-0 win over Canisius.

Top Defensive Performers for the Week:
Kelly Fritz, UIC (Fr., GK) - Had a career-high 11 saves against Western Michigan.
Sydney Galvez-Daley, Valparaiso (So., GK) - Has recorded four consecutive shutouts and now owns a scoreless streak of 436 consecutive minutes.
Marina Manzo, Detroit (Fr., GK) - Recorded her third shutout of the season in 3-0 win over Bowling Green on Sunday.
Halle Pyle, Wright State (Jr., GK) - Made seven saves in WSU’s two games out west.
