2011 Men's Tennis Championship Bracket | 2011 Women's Tennis Championship Bracket

INDIANAPOLIS -- The seeds are set for the 2011 Horizon League Tennis Championships, with Cleveland State taking the top spot for the third consecutive year on the men's side and 14-time League champion UIC claiming the No. 1 seed on the women's side.  The Championships will take place at North Central H.S. in Indianapolis, beginning on Thursday, April 21 and running until the final match on Saturday, April 23.

Cleveland State (14-7, 7-0 Horizon) enters the tournament at the three-time defending League champion and runs a 32-game League winning streak into the semifinals after earning a bye.  The Vikings will meet the winner of the UIC-Butler match, in which No. 4 UIC (7-12, 4-3 Horizon) meets fifth-seeded Butler (6-14, 3-4 Horizon) at 1 p.m. ET on Thursday in a rematch of a match from Sunday morning.  The Flames knocked off the Bulldogs, 6-1, in Indianapolis.

The Vikings took a 4-3 victory over the Bulldogs earlier in the year and downed the Flames, 6-1, on April 3.

Green Bay (15-7, 6-1 Horizon) earned the other bye on the men's side as the No. 2 seed, where the Phoenix will face third-seeded Wright State (14-10, 5-2 Horizon) or No. 6 Youngstown State (6-12, 2-5 Horizon).  The two teams will play at 1 p.m. ET on Thursday in a rematch of their meeting from April 10, in which the Raiders downed the Penguins, 6-1, on April 10.  The Phoenix knocked off both teams, knocking off Wright State, 4-3, and YSU, 5-2.

On the women's side, UIC (16-4, 8-0 Horizon) has not lost in the Horizon League Championships since 1996 and earned the top seed and the resulting first round bye.  The Flames will meet the winner of the No. 4 Wright State (13-9, 5-3 Horizon)-Detroit (4-17, 4-4 Horizon) tilt on Friday at 2:30 p.m. ET.  The Raiders and Titans played on March 18, with WSU squeaking out a 4-3 victory.

Cleveland State (12-11, 7-1 Horizon) picked up the No. 2 seed and bye into the semifinals, where they will take on either No. 3 Butler (14-8, 6-2 Horizon) or No. 6 Milwaukee (11-9, 3-5 Horizon) on Friday.  The Bulldogs and Panthers will meet at 1 p.m. ET on Thursday; Butler took a 6-1 victory over Milwaukee on April 3.

HorizonLeague.com will carry the championship matches of the tournament live on Saturday, with the men's championship beginning at 9 a.m. ET and the women's starting at 12:30 p.m. ET.
