2011 Horizon League Women's Soccer Tournament Bracket

Cleveland State jumped from sixth to fourth with a win on Friday night, capping a frantic finish to the season and finalizing the field for the 2011 Horizon League Women's Soccer Championship.

Entering the night in sixth, Cleveland State collected a 2-1 victory at Wright State to tie the Raiders with 3-3-2 League records and 11 points. When Loyola knocked off Butler, 2-1, it guaranteed the Vikings a home date on Tuesday at Krenzler Field.

In a twist, the Vikings will be hosting Wright State on Tuesday, giving the teams 72 hours to study film and adjust after competing on Friday.

In the day's other first round match, No. 6 Butler will travel up I-65 to third-seeded Valparaiso in a rematch of a game played in a driving storm last week. The Crusaders picked up the win when they netted the match's lone goal with just seconds to play in the first half.

The tournament will move to Engelmann Stadium on the campus of Milwaukee on Friday, with the top-seeded Panthers playing the lowest remaining seed in a Friday semifinal. No. 2 Detroit will take on the highest remaining seed in the day's first semifinal.

The Horizon League Championship will be played on Sunday, Nov. 6, with the victor claiming the League's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
