Weitzer's Career High Gives Green Bay Bounce Back Win-- Box Score
GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Lexi Weitzer scored a career-high 16 points and the Green Bay women’s basketball team bounced back in a big way on Saturday afternoon, dominating Cleveland State 74-50 at the Kress Center.

Green Bay (18-4, 8-1 HL) was gifted Weitzer’s best game of her young career in the victory and shot its highest field goal percentage (53.8 percent) at home this season in the victory. The Phoenix outscored Cleveland State (13-9, 5-4 HL) 43-3 in bench points and 38-18 in the paint, thanks in large part to the performance of the sophomore Weitzer.

Fellow-sophomore Mehryn Kraker hit a three-pointer just eight seconds into the game, giving Green Bay an early 3-0 advantage and a lead it would never give back. The Phoenix led for all but eight seconds in the game, leading wire to wire while Kraker went on to finish with 14 points and four assists. Read more

Vikings Fall At League-Leading Green Bay-- Box Score
GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Cleveland State women's basketball team fell at league-leading Green Bay Saturday afternoon, dropping a 74-50 contest against the Phoenix. The Vikings now stand at 13-9 overall this season and 5-4 in Horizon League action, while Green Bay improves to 18-4 overall and 8-1 in league play.

Cori Coleman led the Vikings with 23 points – including a trio of three-pointers – while she also notched a team-high seven rebounds and five steals. Imani Gordon also finished with double-digit points against the Phoenix, finishing with 10 points and six rebounds.

The Vikings were able to close the second half on a 14-8 run over the final 5:20, but it would close the gap to just 11 points, as Green Bay held a 33-22 lead at the halftime break. During the first half, the Vikings notched eight steals and forced Green bay into 13 turnovers. Read more

UIC Rallies for Road Win Over Youngstown State, 66-63-- Box Score
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The UIC women’s basketball team (14-8, 4-5 HL) trailed Youngstown State (15-7, 4-5 HL) by 12 at halftime but mounted a second half comeback to win in overtime by a final score of 66-63. The Flames forced 13 second half turnovers and held the Penguins to 19 percent shooting (5-of-26) after halftime.

YSU limited UIC to nine field goals in the first half and shot 44 percent on its way to a 33-21 halftime lead. The Flames outscored the Penguins 45-30 in the second half and overtime to capture the road victory.

In addition to UIC’s defensive pressure, Ruvanna Campbell had 18 points and nine rebounds in the second half. YSU was 0-of-7 from the field in overtime, including 0-of-6 from downtown. Read more

Penguins Fall to UIC in Overtime, 66-63-- Box Score
Youngstown -- Senior Heidi Schlegel posted a double-double with 15 points and 17 rebounds, and four other players scored in double figures, but the Youngstown State women's basketball dropped a 66-63 overtime decision to UIC on Saturday afternoon at the Beeghly Center.

Freshman Nikki Arbanas scored 13 points, sophomore Kelsea Newman had 11 points and senior Latisha Walker and freshman Indiya Benjamin each had 10 points for the Penguins, who fall to 15-7 overall and 4-5 in the Horizon League.

The Flames, who improve to 14-8 overall and 4-5 in the league, were led by Ruvanna Campbell with a game-high 23 points. Terri Bender also reached double-figures for UIC with 12 points. Read more

Women Score 55 in Second Half to Defeat Valparaiso-- Box Score
Trailing by two at the half, the Wright State women's basketball team outscored Valparaiso 55-24 the final 20 minutes to defeat the Crusaders 95-66 Saturday afternoon at WSU's Nutter Center. Read more
