INDIANAPOLIS – Northern Kentucky (6-3) won its third consecutive game as Lavone Holland II poured in 28 points to lead the Norse past Eastern Illinois. The one-two punch of Bobby Word and Demonte Flannigan helped Cleveland State speed past Western Michigan, 85-62, at Quicken Loans Arena. The duo combined to score 45 points on 17-of-25 shooting.

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Bobby Word and Demonte Flannigan combined for 45 points as Cleveland State raced away from Western Michigan 85-62 Wednesday night. Flannigan, the Vikings' lone senior, scored 20 points and has been in double figures in three of the four games he's appeared in this season. Word, a junior college transfer who sat out last season, poured in a season-best 25 points on 9-for-12 shooting including five 3-pointers.
