DETROIT (11/30/2016) -- The gym was loud and full of children Wednesday morning for the second annual Field Trip Day, but the University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team fell on the wrong side of a back-and-forth contest with visiting George Mason, dropping a 55-54 game in the final seconds.

The crowd was announced at 3,117, which was the largest draw for a Titan women's basketball game at home since Jan. 24, 2004, when Detroit Mercy welcomed 3,218 fans to Calihan Hall in a win over Green Bay.

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – In front of a crowd of 5,332 fans during the first annual Victor's Hoops 4 Health Day, Northern Kentucky women's basketball took on an old rival in former Atlantic Sun Conference opponent Stetson. The Hatters used an efficient second half, shooting over 50.0 percent, to seal a 54-45 victory.  With the loss, NKU drops to 2-4 on the season, while Stetson advances to 7-1.

The Valparaiso University women’s basketball team suffered a 70-65 loss to Evansville in a game that featured seven lead changes and a dramatic final minute on Wednesday night at the Athletics-Recreation Center. Dani Franklin (Cedar Rapids, Iowa / George Washington) hauled in a career-high 16 rebounds, while Georgi Donchetz (Savage, Minn. / Burnsville) equaled a personal best with nine points.

PEORIA, Ill. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- The Green Bay women’s basketball team extended its winning streak to three games Wednesday night, taking down Bradley (2-4) at the Renaissance Coliseum, 68-43.

Green Bay (4-1) led the road matchup wire to wire against the Braves, scoring the first six points of the game and never looking back. The Phoenix outscored Bradley in every quarter, working towards a 25-point margin of victory, its largest of the season.
