Oakland

Sammy Condon

Hometown: Naperville, Ill.

MediumCondon was named to the Golden Grizzlies All-Tournament team after helping Oakland win three of four matches. She recorded nine blocks in Oakland's four-set win over Western Michigan and finished with 21 blocks in four matches. She averaged 1.24 blocks per set.


Cleveland State

Christina Toth

Hometown: Lyndhurst, Ohio

MediumToth was named the Blue/Gold Invitational MVP after leading the Vikings to the invite title. She posted a career-high 24 kills in CSU's five-set come-from-behind win over Radford. She finished the tourney with 2 kills and a .440 hitting percentage.


Milwaukee

Maria Stephans

Hometown: Hartford, Wis.

MediumStephans had a strong showing in Milwaukee’s 2-1 overtime victory at Oakland on Friday, scoring both goals. In the teams’ Horizon League opener, the junior scored the equalizing penalty kick with four minutes left in the game. Five minutes into overtime, she scored the winning goal, driving a shot through the defense into the bottom right corner. On Sunday, the biomedical sciences (pre-med) major had an assist against Loyola, helping to tie the game at 1-1 early in the match.


Detroit Mercy

Claudia Eustaquio

Hometown: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

MediumIn Detroit’s Horizon League opener, Eustaquio notched her second straight shutout win in the Titans’ 5-0 victory against Green Bay. Facing seven shots on the afternoon, the freshman turned away all three on net to secure her first conference win as a freshman.


Milwaukee

Brenda Hernandez

Hometown: Beloit, Wis.

MediumBrenda Hernandez led Milwaukee at the Friendship Invitational where she finished third out of 128 competitors. The freshman crushed her previous personal record by nearly a minute when she crossed the 5K finish line with a time of 18:23.7.


UIC

Jorge Alvarez

Hometown: Oswego, Ill.

MediumJorge Alvarez recorded his second career multi-goal game in UIC’s conference opener against Green Bay where he scored two goals on four shots to lead the Flames. The senior forward also assisted on the game-winning goal earlier in the week against DePaul in the 1-0 win. For the week, Alvarez totaled five points on two goals, one assist, four shots and two shots on-goal.


Detroit Mercy

Ben Kendell

Hometown: Huntington Woods, Mich.

MediumBen Kendell finished 10th out of 276 runners at the National Catholic Championships this past weekend for the Titans. The sophomore finished the 8K in a time of 25:23 to lead Detroit for the second-straight week and marked the first Titan top-10 at Notre Dame since 2005 and the fastest school time at the race since 2001.


Detroit Mercy

Nathan Steinwascher

Hometown: Sterling Heights, Mich.

MediumNathan Steinwascher helped the Titans defeat Michigan for the first time in program history where he tallied six saves in the 2-1 victory. The senior goalkeeper followed up that stellar performance with four saves facing Valparaiso in the team’s double-overtime draw. For the week, Steinwascher posted a .45 goals-against average on 10 saves, one shutout in 200:00 minutes of action.
