INDIANAPOLIS –Horizon League cross country teams participated in two NCAA Regionals on Saturday.

For the men, Butler led the Horizon League members at the Great Lakes Regional in Rochester, Mich., placing fifth among 31 teams. The Bulldogs were led by freshman Ross Clarke, who finished 18th earning All-Region recognition.

Loyola men took 14th out of 24 teams at the Midwest Regional hosted in Peoria, Ill. UIC also competed at the Midwest Regional taking 12th. The Flames were led by junior Brian Denk, who earned All-Region honors finishing 25th.

Butler women also competed in Regional competition this past weekend. Competing at the Great Lakes Regional, the Bulldogs finished 11thout of 33 teams. Butler sophomores Katie Clark (14th) and Kirsty Legg (18th) were named to the All-Region team. Milwaukee’s Elise Sigg was also named to the All-Region team, crossing the finish line 20th.

No Horizon League team or individuals qualified for the NCAA National Championship Meet in Terre Haute, Ind. on Nov. 22.
