INDIANAPOLIS – Green Bay midfielder Audi Jepson netted both goals in the Phoenix’s 2-0 win against in-state rival Milwaukee and claims the week’s Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week. Detroit Mercy goalkeeper Robbie Beckwell posted eight saves in the Titans’shutout win against UIC making Beckwell this week’s Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK | AUDI JEPSON | GREEN BAY | SENIOR | MIDFIELDER | GREEN BAY, WIS.
Audi Jepson found the back of the net twice on Saturday as the Green Bay men's soccer team headed south to take on in-state rival Milwaukee with the Chancellor's Cup on the line. After last year's 1-0 loss to the Panthers, the only way the Phoenix was going to bring the cup back to Titletown was with a victory. Jepson first struck in the 80th minute to put Green Bay on top 1-0, but the Panthers found the equalizer seconds before the clock hit zero to force overtime. Knowing a draw would leave the cup in Milwaukee, Jepson added another goal to his already impressive game resume by netting the game-winner in the 95th minute. Jepson now has four goals on the season and Green Bay is off to its first four-game unbeaten streak since the 2013 campaign.
