INDIANAPOLIS – Wright State midfielder AJ Paterson scores a hat trick in the second week of the season and claims the week’s Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week. Belmont defender Dan Brown led the Bruins to a shutout against Dayton and has been named Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week.

This week AJ Paterson scored 4 goals. Three of those goals were against local rival and American conference member University of Cincinnati for his first career Hat Trick. Paterson also netted one goal against top 20-ranked team, West Virginia. It's the only goal the Mountaineers have conceded this year.

Brown helped the Bruins shutout the Dayton Flyers on Sunday afternoon. Brown has been an invaluable leader to the young Bruin team serving as captain this season. The Bruins 1-0-2 start is a program record. No Bruin squad has been undefeated in their first three games of a season. Dan Brown is part of a Bruin defense that has only allowed one goal this season.
