INDIANAPOLIS - Butler freshman Romeo Harper, Wright State sophomore Cassandra Lloyd and junior Amber Kasmer have been named Horizon League Track and Field Athletes of the Week for the period of March 15-21.
Harper, a native of Merrillville, Ind., receives the men's track honor after winning the 100-meter (10.95) and 200-meter dash (22.34) on Saturday at the Rose Hulman Early Bird in Terre Haute, Ind.
Lloyd, a native of Springfield, Ohio, picks up the women's track honor after winning the 100-meter hurdles (12.24), placing fourth in the 100-meter dash (13.77) and helping the 4x100 relay team to a second place finish on Saturday at the Early Bird Relays in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Kasmer, a native of Euclid, Ohio, collects the women's field award after winning the long jump (5.73 meters) on Saturday at the Early Bird Relays.
Butler returns to action on Friday when it heads to Palo Alto, Calif., for the Stanford Invitational, while Wright State heads to Cedarville, Ohio, for the Cedarville Open.
