INDIANAPOLIS- Green Bay senior Mehryn Kraker has been named Horizon League Player of the Week and for the second consecutive week; Cleveland State's Jade Ely has been tabbed as Horizon League Freshman of the Week, respectively.

Kraker was on fire shooting 17-24 from the field including 7-10 from behind the arc in the squad’s first two Horizon League games. In Green Bay’s two wins, the guard averaged 22.5 points on 70.8 percent shooting in 27.5 minutes.

The fifth-year senior tallied 17 points (7-9 shooting) with five assists and three steals in 25 minutes versus the Norse. Against Wright State, the West Allis native went off for a season-high 28 points in 30 minutes of play. Kraker recorded 17 of her 28 points in the opening quarter making all five triples she attempted.

This is the second Player of the Week honor for Kraker in her career.

Jade Ely / Cleveland State / Freshman / Guard / Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Ely registered her second consecutive double-double in Cleveland State’s win over Youngstown State with 15 points and 15 rebounds and added five assists. The guard’s 15 boards are a season-high and the five helpers tied her season-best. The Pittsburgh native shot 6-13 from the floor in 35 minutes of play against the Penguins.

This is the second time Ely has been recognized as Freshman of the Week on the year.
